No One Said It Would be Easy

Just an everyday blue collar guy who loves his family. I once was on Twitter. I had a tweecwet life on there. I tell stories. I ramble. I play guitar and I even talk about my life once in awhile.

The 3rd shift lifestyle

It isn’t a good one. I know you’re saying you silly man everyone knows that already. Especially anyone who’s reading this at this time of night knows this. I just want to blog about it to get it out of my head, whine a little and preach to the choir. Can I get an Amen?

I don’t sleep right, I don’t eat right I don’t function properly. I don’t move my bowels properly. I used to be pretty regular, now my body doesn’t know if it’s supposed to be fed or empty itself. I can be starving and have one sandwich and be stuffed then an hour later I’m starving again. I eat before I go to sleep because I know I’ll wake up before I should starving. I sometimes wake up after only sleeping 2 hours wide awake. I sometimes have to pee so badly that it literally feels like I’ve peed about 5 gallons when I’m done. Can I get an Amen?

Most people when they come home from work get to chill for a few hours. I TRY to go to sleep within an hour of getting home because I want to be awake during prime time when my family and friends are home from work. Can I get an Amen?

Most of the time I’m tired, cranky and irritable. Even when I’m not sometimes my responses come across that way according to my wife. Can I get an Amen?

Most normal people after making love to their significant other get to hold, cuddle, spoon and fall asleep in each other’s arms. I have to get up, shower and get dressed for work. Can I get an Amen?

I guess what I’ve learned from writing this whiny post is that this choir boy needs to find a way to get on 1st shift or find a different job. Can I get an Amen?
