The Little Country Church
I just got back from playing in our sister church out west. When the musicians from out there are out of town I always volunteer to go. I love the drive out there, plus I love playing my guitar for people, no matter the venue. The sky was amazing this evening. I tried snapping some pictures but I’m not quite savvy with my phone yet. Plus I discovered through the flash on the camera that my windows could use a cleaning.
It’s so relaxing driving out there. Most of the scenery is farm fields and a nice curvy two lane road. I put on a little music and freed my mind for a bit. The people in the church are much different than the church here. It’s much more laid back. The people speak their minds right in the middle of service. After the first song one older lady blurted out “the drums are too loud.” Everyone just laughed at her or with her I should say. Then during the message which I only had time to stay for some of it, people were talking back to the preacher. It was fun and different. I would only do it once in awhile though. Five hours of sleep and then driving 40 miles out west too often could be wearing.
